Alright, how many of you woke up Monday morning in burning pain after the Memorial Day Classic?  I know I did and I'm still burning.  It was a beautiful day at the track regardless of the biting sun and thousands came out to enjoy the Holiday weekend and watch some action packed racing.

Although I didn't attend Saturdays events at the track I heard all about the Power Shift Junk Yard Warrior driver Michael Gay landing a 2nd place finish in the Saturday's Qualifying.  However, Sunday he had an unfortunate run-in with the front stretch wall and had to make the walk back to the Pits where his car followed by a tow and he was unable to finish the race.  A Lamoille County Local #43, Jamie Davis took 1st place in the Power Shift Warrior Division.

Sunday was also a special day at the track with the True Value Modified Racing Series ending the day with a 100 Lap race.  ACT Late Model #32 Jean-Paul Cyr sat behind the wheel of the #25 Modified taking a 15th place finish when it was all said and done.

If you were there on Sunday you'll agree with how FAST the Late Model 100 lap feature was run!  Apparently it was the fastest ACT race and the first Caution didn't come until Lap 70!  It was also one of the cleanest races in a long time.  Another Lamoille County resident Eric Williams #7, John Donahue #26, and Scott Payea #89 led most of the 100 Lap event, with Williams leading nearly the first 50 Laps himself!  Donahue came from behind with a great car and took over the 1st place position leaving Williams and Payea to battle for 2nd and 3rd.  It was an exciting finish in which Payea took 2nd and Williams 3rd (a Great finish considering he had NO Power Steering the entire race!).
